Project Junno - an post apocalyptic inspired stop motion
Hello! I'm posting this thread to share and get feedback on my project. I just came up with the name so even that is up to debate.
To start, I'll say here what I've done up to the creation of this thread.I had the idea to make this stop motion short quite a while back, combining aspects of steam-punk, post apocalyptic scenery, bio-mechanical machines and structures, and more. I've drawn some sketches of scenes and rooms, and I've built a version of the main character. I still am in doubt about whether i will use the current character on the final thing, or something more humanoid, but as of right now, its likely that i will, specially given the positivity from the comments on my reddit post asking for opinions on the character.
My plan as of now, is to buy a 3d printer (which i plan in doing by the end of march), and print the main character, using ball and socket joints, to make it more stable, because the prototype of the main character couldn't hold itself upright, for that reason i couldn't do any animation tests with the prototype.
about the story, and plot.. i have an basic idea of what i wanna do, but i still need to write it down, which Im not sure of how, however, ill post here later on what i have on my mind.
Here are some pictures of the finished prototype. if you look carefully, you can see some strings (which are actually copper wires, the only thing thin enough to not look so obvious on camera, which it still does) holding it upright. which was unreliable and too clumsy to even do an animation test
Those are from the very beginning
At this point, the light bulb was held on by this removable ring, that was itself attached by magnets. I stopped doing that because the magnet didn't hold on well enough however, now that I plan in 3d printing it, it might be feasible again, and I honestly prefer it this way.
